Melksham 1st is a Community Area Partnership; one of 20 now established across Wiltshire. The Partnership aims to improve the social, environmental, economic and cultural quality of life for residents, and to work towards providing equal opportunity for everyone. It aims to be the voice of the community sector, and believes that local communities have the capacity and the capability to determine their own future. Membership of Melksham 1st is open to all, but core members include voluntary and statutory community organisations; town, parish, district and county councillors; and members of the public.
