Open House started in 1992 with half a dozen or so meeting regularly for a 'cuppa' and a chat in a friendly atmosphere. Inevitably it has changed over the years to meet the needs of the community and now provides a lunch-time meal for up to 70 people each Tuesday - but it has still managed to retain that friendly atmosphere!

The meals are simple and realistically priced - soup and roll, quiche, pasty or cold meats with jacket potatoes and salad and of course occasional 'specials'.

It provides the opportunity for many of our 'older' friends to have a meal with company in a relaxed atmosphere without having to cook.

Open House opens at 10am for coffees, so why don't you pop in on the way back from the shopping and have a coffee and stay for a bite to eat? We would love to see you.

In addition to providing drinks and a meal, there are quizzes, short talks, and a regular book stall with a good variety of quality cards.

Each year we organise a couple of coach trips. We don't open for lunches on the weeks that a coach trip is taking place. Our next coach trip is 29th September 2009 and we will be going to Weymouth.

The last Open House before the summer break is 21st July 2009. Open House will then be closed for 6 weeks (from 28th July until 1st September) and will resume after the summer break on 8th September 2009.
