THE PLANTING OF A LIME TREE IN SULLY SUR LOIRE

Image 1 for THE PLANTING OF A LIME TREE IN SULLY SUR LOIRE A lime tree was planted in the grounds of the new College Secondaire in Sully- sur-Loire in June 2006 to commemorate the planting of trees by the Duke de Sully and to continue the tradition. It, and the plaque, was a gift from Sully’s twin town of Bradford on Avon in Wiltshire. The plaque reads:- “Offert par l’association de jumelage de Bradford on Avon a la ville de Sully- sur-Loire afin de perpetuer la tradition instauree par le duc de Sully qui planta des arbres dans toute de France.”
