WILTSHIRE CIL - Our Mission
Wiltshire CIL is an organisation managed by disabled people. Our mission is to promote full social inclusion, by empowering disabled people to achieve their equal rights and expectations. We are committed to supporting all disabled people with regards to their individual issues and barriers, to enable more choice and control by:
• Campaigning
• Advising
• Informing
• Training
• Advocacy
• Peer support
WILTSHIRE CIL - Our Values
Wiltshire CIL believes passionately in the Social Model of Disability and in the importance of all citizens having the right to independent and full lives as taken for granted by non- disabled people.
We recognise that through isolation and discrimination some individuals and groups are disadvantaged in achieving this and we strive to redress the balance.
Wiltshire CIL believes that people are not disabled by their impairment, but the physical, institutional and attitudinal barriers constructed by society.
