Welcome to
West Wiltshire in the new Wiltshire Community Web.

The Wiltshire Community Web was set up by the Wiltshire Customer First Partnership, which brought together all of the major public sector agencies. Funding was secured from the County and District Councils, along with the voluntary and community sector, through the Government's Change Up programme. Wiltshire Council manages the site. The site was developed and is maintained by a local company, Cravenplan Computers Ltd

The idea is simple - to allow local groups, businesses and individuals the chance to build and maintain websites for free and provide a single place in which a range of community sites can link and be easily found.

Diary

Please note that as of the 16th July 2010, management of the Wiltshire Community Web changed from Community First to Wiltshire Council.

The council will continue to provide a basic level of support including approving new users. Technical and other enquiries we are unable to deal with will be forwarded to Cravenplan Computers under the terms of their contract.

Over the next 6 to 9 months we will reviewing the future of the Wiltshire Community Web in order to establish whether this continues to provide the best method of providing small community groups and organisations with a web presence, particularly with the many new products on the market and the emergence of social networking sites such as Facebook and Ning.

In the meantime, the WCW will continue in its present form until at least August 2011.

We will keep users updated on developments via e-mail and notices posted on the WCW homepage.
