Duncan Hames is the Liberal Democrat Prospective MP for the new Chippenham constituency. This covers the towns of Corsham, Bradford on Avon, Melksham and Chippenham itself, as well as neighbouring parishes including Lacock, Neston, Gastard around Corsham, Bowerhill, Beanacre and Whitley in Melksham Without, Atworth, Broughton Gifford, Holt, South Wraxall, Monkton Farliegh, Winsley, Limpley Stoke, Westwood, Staverton, Semington, Hilperton and much of Paxcroft Mead.

Duncan is a former West Wiltshire District Councillor, and governor at Westwood with Iford School. He currently volunteers as a governor at Geroge Ward School in Melksham, and is a member of the Wiltshire Involvement Network for Health and Social Care. His business, Chippenham Consultants Limited, is a member of the Wessex Association of Chamber of Commerce. Duncan also serves on the Board of the South West of England Regional Development Agency.
