Whats On
Voluntary Action was established in 1980 and is a Company Limited by Guarantee and a Registered Charity. It is owned and run by a Board of Trustees elected by its membership of local voluntary and community organisations.
It's main purpose is to support, promote and develop local voluntary and community action by providing a range of services and by acting as a voice for the local voluntary and community sector.
VAWW delivers services locally but works in partnership with other infrastructure organisations across Wiltshire and Swindon to ensure a range of expertise and resources are brought into West Wiltshire. VAWW owns and manages Bridge House in Trowbridge, Wiltshire’s County Town. It provides a well equipped Resource Centre for use by local groups and organisations. It also provides office accommodation to 14 voluntary organisations. It has a large conference and training room and provides a meeting room.
