Whats On
The Warminster Philatelic Society was established in 1964. The club has been going strong since. Meetings are held at the Athenaeum, High Street, Warminster, every 2nd and 4th Tuesday from September to May. The room is open from 7.30pm for a 7.45pm start. The first meeting this season is on 14th September 2010. There is a new programme every year, with outside guest speakers, as well as club members, invited to show their material. Although most meetings are in the evening, we do run a couple of day time meetings as well, in October and April.
The annual subscription is only £7.50, which includes refreshments at every meeting. This will entitle you to join in with the club activities. For instance the club has an annual auction, hosts a successful stamp fair in Warminster every year, and has a comprehensive library. There is a "stamp packet" that is sent out to members , with a mixture of material available to buy if you wish.
All types of collectors, beginners, or experts, modern or classic material, one country or world are welcome to this friendly club. Younger members (under 18s) are especially welcome. We are all willing to help our younger colleagues who are starting out. For a copy of the Programme 2010-11 please contact the Secretary, or see the link page on this site.
