The course offers two days of individual tuition held at the Textile Studios, behind the Village Shop, Steeple Ashton.
You will complete the warp winding for a scarf, dress and thread the loom, then start weaving using one or two simple twill patterns.
The loom can be taken home for a maximum of four weeks in order to complete the scarf. ( A deposit of fifty pounds will be required if the loom is taken home, or arrangements can be made for you to weave at the studios).
Over the two days the basic skills of weaving will be covered. Also, how to read pattern drafts and plan a project will be touched upon.
The cost including use of the loom, loom equipment, course booklet, tea and coffee throughout the day and yarn, is one hundred pounds.
